April month page layout

Our scrappers have been doing a page to represent each month so that when we are finished, some of them plan to create their calendar for next year. So tonight we did our April page. This page has some adorable embellishments that we had to ink, and do a little drawing, and paper piecing. Some of the girls have never done paper piecing so it was a new task for them. I think everyone did a wonderful job. Thank you Lisa, for the bunny pattern that we used in our layouts created with the Surecutsalot program. The other cutouts were from my Cricut cartridges, or cartridges that I borrowed from Gloria...(Thank you so much Gloria for being so generous and donating your cartridges so that we can have some really gorgeous pages).

You will also notice that our little friend Riley came back to class...He is quite the scrapper. He knows how to use the tools and pretty much does his pages all by himself...even lending a hand to help his mom and others. I think it is so neat that he is learning this art of preserving memories and using his creative skills to create his very own album...I hope we can get some other boys and girls interested in taking up scrapbooking.

Basketweave layout

Here are pages that we did a couple of weeks ago...These pages came out beautiful. Each scrapper chose a background patterned cardstock and then 3 colors of patterned paper or solid cardstock and then they were to weave strips in and out of the background paper. The colors they chose were absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had a picture of everyone's layout, hopefully I will get their pictures so I can post them for you...This was a fun class and everyone did such a great job...I'm so proud of these ladies.
