The Great Outdoors page layouts

Tonights class did The Great Outdoors page layout with Four Wheelers/ATV's, trees, a dome tent, a road sign. The title was cut using the Pooh Font cartridge and the Cricut markers. I am not sure what happened, but I was using DS and on my Expression the file would not cut past 1%. So I had to dig out my baby Cricut and I could only cut 6 titles at a time and then I used the Cricut markers to make them have the wood grain look to them...I think it really added to the page. I also used the George Cartridge for the shape behind the letters. The rest of my cutouts were done in SCAL. The dome tent, trees, and four wheeler.

Tonight we had another new Scrapbooker, welcome to our class, we hope we didn't scare you away :) We have a good class every week and lots of fun and laughter. If anyone would like to purchase any of our page layouts, I will be making them available, either at the store or I can mail them, just email me and I can make that happen for you. The cost for the pages will be around $7 per page plus shipping.

If you own a Cricut, here is an excellent software that allows you to cut
any True Type font with your machine, as well as many cliparts can now be
traced within the program turning them into an svg format, this feature alone
makes getting SCAL2 worth it as you will never need to purchase any carts.
There are thousands of files out there for you to download for free or for a
small fee that you can cut with your Cricut. I must say I use this software for
almost every layout I have done when using my Cricut. I actually use it more
than cartridges....don't tell Provo :)

All About Me Scrapbook Layout

In this weeks class, we did a page "All About Me". It seems that most of the time, Mom's are the photographers and so we aren't in very many pictures with our families and so when those pictures become available, we need to scrap them and tell our story. So here are a few of the pages that were done, some of them wanted to wait and have me take their pictures after they put their photos on their pages and tell their story...so here are the ones that allowed me to take their pictures.
I used the Cricut to cut the tag, using Plantin, the Mats, using Scal as well as the title.

Magnolia Mini Pizza Fudge Boxes

So one of my favorite Scrappers, ( I have to say that cause I babysit her little guy) just kidding, I love her dearly was doing a fundraiser for Make A Wish and so I wanted to donate a little something..although, they had so much, our community really pulled through and they raised over $1500 and will be doing a walk the end of May and will be looking for sponsors, so if you didn't get to participate in this one, maybe you can in the walk. Our son received a wish in his senior year, right after graduation and I'll tell you it was totally a dream come true...and there were times I could hardly keep the tears from coming as I saw him so enjoy his dream come true.

So here are my little Magnolia Mini Pizza boxes that I got either from Jen or someone else online, can't remember but when I do, I will give them credit. These sold right off, so I guess I should've made more. These can be made larger so that you could put cards inside for a nice gift.

My Coach purse made with my Cricut

Here is my Coach purse that I made with my Cricut, thanks to JenC...she has so many awesome ideas...I was making it for sale, it was holding some incredible double chunk fudge that I made up...and I liked it so much, that I couldn't sell it, and I did a bad boo boo...I ate the fudge too. rrrrgh
I think we are going to do this in a class on a Saturday in June, so be watching. I used SurecutsAlot to cut out the purse pattern...if you haven't tried SurecutsAlot (SCAL) you can download a trial of it and just play with it...and you will be hooked...I use this program pretty much daily. It really makes owning the Cricut worthwhile as you can cut so much more with it and are not limited to just the cartridges.

Spring Layout Class

This is our class for Monday May 11th, and we had a new student, welcome Sally to our class. We actually did our class in the store because there was a neat little baby shower going on in the back...and then something even more exciting happened when almost everyone else left...He got down on his knees, and he proposed to her!!!!! How exciting, and either today or tomorrow there will be a new baby girl born to this sweet young couple...congratulations.

So as you can see our page really looks spring/summery (is that a word)? Well if not it is now! Hehehehe
I hope you enjoy our layout...I used the Cricut to cut the flower petals, the George Cartridge, and I used the Surecutsalot program to cut the May and shadow.
Enjoy
