So I got very carried away this week with my Cricut…I love these little animals that I got from Lisa (I own just about all of her designs)…they are so CUTE! So I cut 4 little jungle animals and now I’ve changed my mind and will probably be adding about 3 more animals to my page…and then I cut a circus clown with his canon, and a circus tent…we will be adding more to this because we have decided to make it a 4 page layout due to the colors are brighter for the clown and tent and other featured paper piecings. We were going to add some colorful Shrinky Dinks to the layouts giving it more of a 3D appearance, but I no longer can find the kind that you can put in your printer and then shrink them! So, as I was looking at this layout that I’m working on for the clown and tent page, I realized that there needs to be elephants!!! You can’t go to a circus without seeing the Elephants! So here is the picture of the first two pages that I’ve started…it is not complete yet, but we will finish it next week at class…I hope you like it so far, I love the colors that I chose and am very pleased with how it turned out.
Mat size: CS (2) 6 1/4 x 4 1/4
(5) 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
PP (2) 6 x4 and (5) 3 x 3
Pattern Paper used for the strip was Ashville Strip1, this has 8 strip pieces on the 12x12 that can be used, plus it is double sided, the orange paper is also by Ashville, and is called Orange Street, I also used Stampin Up cardstock Bashful blue and Really Rust, and Caramel. What I did to make this page, was I was trying to show the ladies how you can still use your left over pieces and actually make a cute page…I took a 12x12 and set it down behind so I had my size, and then put my strip on the top of the bashful blue, it was about 5 inches, I then added about 3 inches of really rust at the bottom, and then added a 3 inch piece of caramel that I tore and then I used dk brown colorbox chalk. Chalk I used on the animals were dk brown, amber clay, and burnt sienna. Enjoy!
